광복 80주년을 맞이하여, 한글 타이포그래피로 ‘대한민국’ 네 글자를 불꽃처럼 재해석했습니다. 이 불꽃은 일제 강점기 속에서 타오른 저항의 정신이자, 광복 이후에도 이어지는 자유와 독립의 상징입니다. 하얗게 타오르는 글자 속엔 1945년의 해방과 그 이전부터 이어진 민족의 염원이 담겨 있습니다. ‘대한민국’은 단순한 국호가 아니라, 광복을 향한 이름이자 오늘의 자유를 가능케 한 상징입니다. 80년이 지난 지금, 우리는 ‘대한민국’이라는 이름 아래 살아 숨 쉬는 ‘광복’의 의미를 다시 떠올립니다.

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation, the word “대한민국” (Republic of Korea) has been reimagined in Hangul typography as a flame.

This flame represents the spirit of resistance that burned during Japanese occupation and the enduring symbol of freedom and independence that followed.

Within the white-hot glow of each letter lies the longing of a people, from before 1945 to the moment of liberation.

“대한민국” is more than a nation’s name it is the name we reached for through struggle, and the name that made today’s freedom possible.

Eighty years on, we are reminded that under the name Republic of Korea, the meaning of Gwangbok liberation still breathes.
