이름도 남기지 못한 수많은 이들이 태극기 위에 남긴 글귀는 단지 한 줄의 문장이 아니라, 나라를 되찾고자 했던 이들의 의지와 결의가 응축된 상징입니다.

꾹꾹 눌러 쓴 다짐과 떨리는 손끝으로 남긴 자신의 이름, 각자의 신념과 조국에 대한 사랑이 뒤엉켜 만들어낸 이 태극기는, 일종의 집단적 기록이자 상징적 유산이 되었습니다.

This work is inspired by the Korean Liberation Army Signature Taegukgi a flag inscribed with messages from countless individuals, many of whom remain unnamed.

Each line written on the flag was more than a sentence; it was a declaration of will, a vow to reclaim the nation. Names pressed down with trembling hands, words etched in urgency and love for their homeland these writings became a collective record, a symbolic legacy.

This piece layers and overlaps those voices through typographic language, evoking the idea that modern Korea was built upon the blood, tears, and sacrifices of its forebears.

Each letter and sentence forms a dense visual structure that carries the weight of memory and responsibility reminding us that the freedom we enjoy today was never given, but earned.
