45년도 광복을 맞은 그래픽 디자이너를 상상하며, 책상에서 당장 구할 수 있는 재료로 태극기를 그렸습니다. 태극기의 기호들은 각 하늘, 해, 달, 땅, 음과 양을 상징하지만 서로 순환하고 조화를 이룬다는 것이 그 의미입니다. 따라서 ‘연결’이라는 주제를 바탕으로 부차적인 요소를 배제하고 기호를 표현했습니다.

Imagining a graphic designer in 1945, newly liberated, I envisioned them creating a Taegukgi using only the materials available on their desk.

Each symbol on the flag heaven, sun, moon, earth, yin and yang represents distinct forces, but their true meaning lies in their circulation and harmony.

Based on the theme of connection, this work strips away all secondary elements and focuses solely on expressing the core symbols of the Taegukgi.
