광복은 ‘빛을 되찾다’라는 뜻을 가지고 있습니다. 광복된 지 80주년이 지났지만 국권 회복과 민족 독립을 위한 선조들의 희생과 자주 의식은 밝게 빛나고 있습니다. 국권이 빼앗겼던 암흑의 시기에 빛나던 선조들의 작고 작은 빛이 모여 현대의 밝게 빛내는 한국을 만들어냈듯, 앞으로도 한국에 이어져 오는 민족의 꺼지지 않는 빛은 앞으로의 한국을 이끌 것입니다.

Eighty years have passed since Korea’s liberation, yet the sacrifices of our ancestors and their unwavering spirit of independence continue to shine brightly.

During the darkest days of lost sovereignty, their small yet powerful lights came together to shape the Korea we see today.

And just as those lights once guided us, the enduring light of our people will continue to illuminate Korea’s path forward.
