2025년의 오늘, 80년 전 누군가는 이런 미래를 상상할 수 있었을까. 이 작업은 1945년 8월 15일의 시점에서 2025년을 바라본 나의 상상이다. 전 세계로 확장된 한국 문화의 역동성과 정체성을 시각화하고, 전통적 상징인 태극과 사괘를 비틀고 해체함으로써 새로운 흐름 속의 균형과 조화를 표현했다. 태극 문양을 둘러싼 사과의 기하학적 리듬은 정적인 국기의 틀을 넘어, 오늘의 한국이 지닌 생동감과 에너지를 드러낸다.

On this day in 2025, could anyone 80 years ago have imagined the world we live in now?

This work is my imagined vision of 2025, seen from the perspective of August 15, 1945.

It visualizes the dynamism and identity of Korean culture as it has expanded globally, while reinterpreting traditional symbols such as the Taegeuk and the four trigrams through distortion and deconstruction.

The geometric rhythm of the trigrams surrounding the Taegeuk symbol breaks away from the fixed frame of the national flag, revealing the energy, vibrancy, and balance of Korea as it exists today.
