자랑스러운 태극기, 그리고 힘주어 말할 수 있는 ‘우리’나라. 이 모든 것의 시작은 1945년 8월 15일이었습니다. 다양한 이유로 혹은 하나의 마음으로 외친 수많은 목소리들이 이루어낸 결과입니다. 잊어선 안 될 감사한 그 목소리들을 시각적인 파동의 형태로 태극기에 담았습니다. 어두움 속에서도 선명하고밝게 퍼져나가는 그들의 파동이 지금의 태극기와 대한민국을 이루고 있음을 보여주고자 하였습니다.

The proud Taegukgi, and the country we can call “ours” with confidence it all began on August 15, 1945.

It was the result of countless voices raised for many reasons, yet united in one spirit.

This work visualizes those voices we must never forget voices of gratitude as waves radiating across the Taegukgi.

Even in the darkest of times, their waves spread brightly and clearly, and it is these very waves that shaped today’s Taegukgi and the Republic of Korea.
